Matthew moved to London from Yorkshire some 20 years ago to study Media. Media studied, he began his life as a factotum. Matthew has worked as a bookseller at Harrods, a Railway Surveyor and on the Horse Racing Desk at Teletext – to name just three previous occupations.

After eight years of writing copy for leading fundraising outfit Bluefrog, it was the appeal of a boutique agency that led Matthew to join Open in 2010. He is now Head of Copy.
